About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Retail Officer (CRO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. The CRO will be responsible for leading the retail growth strategy, with a focus on achieving measurable growth in various areas, including membership, consumer and business deposits, loans, and overall relationship depth. This executive will provide leadership for the branch network, business banking, and wealth management functions, and will be accountable for acquiring new relationships, deepening existing ones, and expanding the company's market presence. A key priority for the CRO will be the development of the small business banking franchise, including the growth of business deposits and loans and the expansion of business relationships. Candidates for the CRO position should have a minimum of ten years' progressive leadership experience in banking, credit unions, or financial services, with a proven track record of measurable growth. The role requires strong retail banking, financial, and business acumen, as well as extensive knowledge of consumer and small business banking, deposits, lending, and wealth management. The successful candidate will be adept at sales leadership, business development, and performance management, and will have the ability to translate market intelligence into actionable growth strategies. Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to balance growth with member value, financial performance, and regulatory requirements.
